Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has said he’d happily sign a ban if Republicans take the General Assembly this November. We MUST protect access, not only for Virginians but also for patients across the South who are forced to travel for care. Across the border in Pennsylvania, a seat on the state Supreme Court is up for grabs this November, and a Democrat who has vowed to protect “women’s reproductive rights” is running against a Republican who’s promised to defend “all life under the law.”Take action: Sign the petition: Stop further criminalization attempts on abortion now GOP-controlled states are now attempting to criminalize traveling out of state for reproductive care. Missouri proposed a law to allow state citizens to sue those assisting others with abortion access. Idaho enacted a law to criminalize assisting a minor seeking an out-of-state abortion. Alabama is threatening criminal conspiracy charges to organizations that help Alabama abortion seekers access services out of state. Texas is trying to label accessing out-of-state reproductive health care as “abortion trafficking” and is trying to criminalize seeking that care. Enough is enough. We must put a stop to these attacks on our access to abortion health care and stop allowing right-wing zealots the platforms to continue to make up rules restricting our human rights.
