John, I ran for re-election on the promise of making Minnesota the best state in the nation for kids to grow up in. This year, we did exactly that. Not only did we make universal breakfast and lunch a reality for 600,000 Minnesota public school students, but we made the largest investment in public education in state history. With school back in session, I published an op-ed in News Week highlighting all we’re doing to keep our promises to Minnesota students. You see, while we take action to ensure students and families have tools they need to be successful, Republicans are focused on stoking divisive culture wars that do nothing to address the real problems our country is facing. The contrast between what we’re doing in Minnesota and what Republican-led states are doing couldn’t be more stark. They’re banning books in their schools, and we’re banishing hunger from ours. John, I believe that if we come together and rise above the politics of fear and division, every state can be a place where no community is left behind and nobody gets told they don’t belong. But we have to keep leading. If you agree, I’m asking you to help us reach our critical $40,000 end-of-quarter goal by the end of the month so Minnesota can defend and expand on our progress over the coming year and beyond.
