I know there aren’t a lot of stories like mine in Congress – I came from a working class family and faced a lot of adversity growing up. And I paid my own way through college by waiting tables, pushing carts, and cleaning houses.
But in a lot of ways, I was lucky too. I had access to high-quality public schools, filled with teachers that supported me throughout my childhood. Thanks to the investments that my community made in me, I was able to become the first person in my family to graduate from high school and college.
But now, far too many of these opportunities have become out-of-reach for hard-working Colorado families.
I ran for Congress to support our local communities and invest in Colorado’s future – and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together so far.
Whether it’s introducing a bill that would improve access to mental health services for farmers and ranchers or helping deliver a $20 million grant to improve our state’s infrastructure, I’ve fought to deliver progress to every corner of CO-07.
But I know that my work isn’t finished.
Coloradans deserve a Congresswoman who will always fight to put hard-working families first – and that’s what I’ve done since day one in Washington.
I ran for Congress to be an advocate for hard-working Colorado families – will you chip in $10 to help me continue delivering results on the issues that affect working Coloradans most?
