At the end of this month, our campaign will face its first public FEC reporting deadline. Everybody from Rick Scott to Mitch McConnell to political pundits will be looking to see what we’ve raised. They’ll use it to judge the strength of our campaign.

Unfortunately, we’re pacing about $6,112 short of where we should be at this point in the month. I simply cannot fall short on the first big test of our campaign, so will you split $25 between my campaign and Lisa Blunt Rochester’s to help get us back on track so we can defeat Rick Scott? Look, team, I’ve already fought opponents like Rick Scott and beat them. I’m not afraid to face him or anybody that doesn’t put Florida first — especially as he continues to get rich while taking away our rights, abusing our government, and raising costs for families. No más. We’re going to do something about it. We’re going to win.

But winning will take staying ahead of our grassroots goals, especially when Rick Scott can cut himself a massive check at any moment.
