1. Avoiding a government shutdown. Americans simply can't afford the consequences of a government shutdown. That's why Derek has been hard at work, collaborating across the aisle to protect our economy and keep our government open and functioning.

2. Championing the needs of our rural and tribal communities. Our rural and tribal communities are the backbone of our nation, and they deserve every opportunity to succeed. That's why Derek has been advocating for policies that invest in our rural areas, from improving broadband access to supporting small businesses.

3. Supporting Rural Hospitals. In July, Derek introduced the bipartisan Rural Hospital Technical Assistance Program Act, which seeks to strengthen rural hospitals and ensure quality healthcare for everyone — no matter where they live.
