POLL: Our Senate race is in a dead heat

Friend,

Last month, my team shared some big news: A public poll showed that the Senate race in Michigan is a statistical dead-heat. While some may think Michigan is solidly blue, this poll shows we need to be doing everything we can right now to set us up for success on Election Day.

Today, I wanted to pull back the curtain and explain what else was in recent polling, and what it means for our campaign.

Before I dive in, I need to ask: Can you chip in $3 or more to help our defend this open Senate seat in Michigan? In light of this poll, we need to show grassroots strength as National Republicans size up our ability to win.

Despite Democrats’ success last year, Michigan is a swing state, and we know it can flip red under the right conditions.

With a presidential election on the ballot as well, this election cycle is especially susceptible to that pendulum: The public polling released so far shows that not only is our race currently neck-and-neck with 14% of voters undecided, but a potential match-up between President Biden and former President Trump is a tie:

President Biden: 44%
Donald Trump: 44%
Undecided: 12%

So, what does this mean? The big takeaways for our race in this open seat are that while this is a two-point margin, 14% of voters are undecided. And 46% of independent voters across the state haven't had the chance to hear from us yet.

So we’ve been doing everything we can to take our message directly to voters early by visiting towns all over Michigan and meeting with folks to talk about the issues that matter to them. And I will continue to meet with people in every corner of our state.

But this kind of poll really does guide our decisions about TV ads, digital outreach, hiring staff early, and building a ground—game that meets folks where they are – and makes it all much more urgent.

This is why I say that the most important time to donate is now: Early support helps us be strategic and intentional about how we’re reaching voters.

In a race this tight, every dollar truly makes the difference, which is why I am asking: Will you donate any amount now to help build our warchest and set our campaign up for success in this race?
