Freedom includes a woman’s right to choose. Period.
So when conservative judges and politicians try to take away our freedoms, we have to act. When a Texas judge overturned the 23-year Food and Drug Administration approval of Mifepristone, commonly known as the abortion pill, I immediately got to work to introduce legislation reaffirming that the FDA, not extremist judges, has the final authority to regulate abortion medication.
I probably don’t have to tell anyone reading this email how monumental a blow this case could ultimately be to the reproductive freedom of millions of Americans.
I hate alarmist language, but this is a crisis.

When I entered the race, I did so on the cusp of a radicalized SCOTUS decision eliminating the long-held protections for reproductive freedom in Roe v. Wade. During my time in the Army, I fought to defend the freedoms of this country across the globe. I refuse to stand by while those very freedoms are being ripped away from millions of Americans here at home.
‘Choice is on the ballot’ wasn’t just a campaign slogan. It is the result of a 50-year targeted attempt by far-right extremists to control women’s bodies and rip away their bodily autonomy. Last year, we won on this message twice, and now I’m fighting to restore these freedoms as a Member of Congress.
Here’s what I know: Patriots fight for freedom. I fight on the side of patriots, and I know you do too.
