As we look ahead to September's legislative business, I wanted to check in with you and share some updates from my office: This week, a discharge petition was filed for Ethan's Law, legislation that will set federal standards for safe gun storage. We can change that." The PACT Act was the largest expansion of veterans' benefits in decades. Tragically, our veterans are also increasingly targeted by predatory, quasi-legal claims consultants. I joined a bipartisan group of colleagues in writing to VA Secretary Denis McDonough to ask important questions about enforcing protections for veterans from people looking to take advantage of their hard-earned VA benefits.
