One dip every day, in any form of cold water. For all of October.Need more reasons to get involved in the challenge? Or dive straight in! [[link removed]]

Here are the top 5 reasons to take part in our Dip a Day challenge:

1. Cold water can be for everyone

This is something anyone in good health [[link removed]] can have a go at, no matter where you live or how little time you have. From a cold shower to a garden tub or your local swim spot, you can help raise funds for SAS dipping in any cold water that is safe [[link removed]] and accessible to you.

2. The mental health benefits are huge

Cold water causes short-term stress, which kickstarts the body and gives you a high from increased dopamine, serotonin and endorphin levels. Plus, studies have shown that cold water can boost your immune system and could potentially help with conditions from rheumatism to depression.*

3. Because Keynvor said so...

Ten-year-old Keynvor took on the challenge last year... β€œOn Day 31 of the challenge, seeing what I’d achieved, it was unreal. I was like, β€˜I’ve raised so much and got the attention of South West Water too.'"

4. Save the ocean

Raise vital funds for Surfers Against Sewage's ocean-saving work.

5. Meet other dippers in your community

Join our friendly Facebook group for challenge motivation and to meet like-minded water-lovers. πŸ™Œ
