Happy Pumpkin Spice Season 🍂 🎃

While temperatures are starting to drop, Wisconsin taxes may not be following the same pattern. Governor Tony Evers is once again promising to veto GOP-authored tax cuts for Wisconsin retirees and middle class.

With Wisconsin households facing higher prices across the board and decreasing real wages due to Bidenomics, the high cost of child care continues to be a burden for many parents.

This week, Republicans passed a package of bills which aims to increase access to affordable care and increase child care slots throughout the state. The six-bill package includes a revolving loan program for facility renovations, new category of licenses, and tax-deductible savings accounts for guardians.

The Republican Party of Wisconsin is thrilled to announce the launch of our groundbreaking Grassroots Training Program, which will build upon the success of recent cycles.

From flipping the Kenosha County Executive to the Wausau School Board, working with center-right-minded Wisconsinites is the key to sparking change at the local level.

This program aims to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to drive positive change at the local level.

In July, Evers slashed Republican proposals, passing a tax cut that lowered taxes a mere $3 a month, rather than sign the GOP proposal which would have returned $573 on average to Wisconsinites' wallets.

This week, Republicans in the Wisconsin State Assembly passed a nearly $3 billion tax cut; estimated to return an average of $772 back to Wisconsin taxpayers.

Rather than use the Wisconsin surplus to push political agendas, Wisconsin Republicans are working to help middle-class and retired Wisconsinites by putting money directly back into their pockets.

Despite Evers’ promise to veto the upcoming proposal, Republicans continue fighting for Wisconsin citizens, attempting to ease the disastrous consequences of “Bidenomics.”

This Thursday, Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate voted to override several vetoes from Governor Tony Evers. The Senate overrode:

  • Evers’ veto of a household income tax rate cut for households with incomes between $25,000 to $370,000.

  • Evers’ veto of the budget that allowed public school districts to raise revenue limits by $325 annually — for the next 400 YEARS.

    • Even the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel labeled Evers' move to increase funding for 400 years as "irresponsible."

  • Evers’ veto of SB-49, a bill protecting consumer choice (protecting liquified gas retailers from governmental restrictions on produced products).

    • This bill was to prevent government overreach like in Seattle, Oakland, and Eugene which have banned natural gas to some extent. This also happened in New York. NY mandated all-electric heating and cooking in single family homes starting in 2026.

WisDems Campaign to defend the partisan & unprecedented comments of Protasiewicz
“The Wisconsin Democrats are spending millions of dollars to divert attention away from the hyper-partisan and wildly inappropriate prejudgments of Janet Protasiewicz.” —WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming
ICYMI: Evers doubles down on supervisor-significant others’ 60k pay raise
In case you missed it, Tony Evers’ doesn’t believe his office should be subject to having policies in place when it comes to supervisor-subordinate relationships. Last week, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel questioned the Governor after Dan Bice revealed the Chief-of-Staff approved a promotion and significant pay raise for her significant other — a 80% pay raise in four years.
INFLATION BACK ON THE RISE
Inflation is back on the rise — that’s Bidenomics! Inflation surged by 3.7 percent year-over-year in August, according to the latest Consumer Price Index — “hotter than expected” and more than twice the rate it was when Biden took office — while real hourly earnings fell by 0.5 percent from July.
THE REPUBLICAN POINT: AGREED! BIDEN SCANDAL DESERVES MORE "SCRUTINY"
The Biden White House released a memo today telling the media to apply more “scrutiny” to the impeachment inquiry, while conveniently ignoring much of the evidence justifying it. Putting aside that attempt to literally dictate what the press does, are they sure they want more scrutiny on this story? Are they sure they want more media attention on…
WisGOP Statement on FLOTUS visit to Madison, Wisconsin
“Jill Biden’s visit to Madison shows who is top of mind, not only for the Biden administration, but for Tammy Baldwin – who is beholden to the teachers’ unions. As Wisconsin students head back to school, Wisconsin parents won’t forget that Baldwin spent their time appeasing the teachers' unions and praising the Biden administration who have vilified parents, allowed the unions to lock students out of the classroom, and waged war on girls’ sports.
