Because he refuses to rescind the rule allowing the military to pay for access to abortion. The current regulation forces taxpayers to subsidize abortions by supporting travel for service members or their dependents to have an abortion and even allowing them additional leave to do so. Secretary Austin’s steadfast support of military-funded abortions is the only hold-up in completing military nominations. We must push for this regulation to be rescinded. We cannot let taxpayer dollars be used to fund abortion. And we must protect life at all costs. We will not back down. I stand with Senator Tuberville in defending the innocent and protecting your hard-earned dollars. Taxpayers’ money should not be used to fund abortions.
