Yesterday, I led a moment of silence on the House floor with my California colleagues in memory of the victims of the Cook's Corner shooting and in solidarity with our Trabuco Canyon community.

As our community mourns and picks up the pieces, we also know we are stronger together.

I am proud to support our police in Congress and always will.

I enjoyed meeting with Michael Chong, Canadian Member of Parliament who’s targeted by the Chinese Communist Party for speaking out in support of Uyghurs, to discuss supporting Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities subject to gross human rights abuses by the CCP. As House Foreign Affairs Indo-Pacific Subcommittee Chairwoman, I'll keep fighting to Stop Uyghur Genocide and hold the CCP accountable.

This month is Passport Awareness Month and we hope to ensure that all travelers are as prepared for international travel in 2024 as possible. We encourage constituents to check their passport's expiration date and apply for a new or renewal passport 9 months prior to travel.

Also we recommend having your passport in hand before booking international travel. Many countries require six months of passport validity to enter, so we recommend applying 6-9 months ahead of expiration date or travel. Learn more about your destination at travel.state.gov/destination.

Due to an unprecedented volume, appointment availability is limited nationwide. Processing times are estimates and do not include mailing and internal routing process which can add up to two weeks.

If your pending application was filed with routine service, and you have upcoming travel, it may be in your best interest to upgrade to expedited service. Please dial (877) 487-2778 to upgrade to expedited service and shipping.

If you need any assistance, please call my office at (714) 984-2440 or submit a casework request.
