I’ll be honest with you: When I woke up this morning I didn’t see a path to us hitting our mid-month fundraising goal. Not a chance — too far behind.

But something happened this afternoon, and I wanted you to hear it from me:

People started chipping in. Tons of them. People from all over the country, from all different backgrounds, with donations big and small. And right now, they’re hoping that you can add your own donation and help get Ruben over the top before midnight tonight.

I wasn’t looking forward to letting Ruben know we came up short tomorrow morning. But right now, we have a chance.
