Rules for thee, but not for me.
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, another super-duper liberal, is calling an audible and deploying the National Guard to assist with the state’s migrant “crisis.”
Sure, their shelters are bursting at the seams with 6,000 migrant families, but this is the bed Gov. Healey’s party made—and now it’s time to lie in it. Massachusetts is a “right to shelter” state that must provide emergency housing to families in need.
What gets me fired up here is the outright hypocrisy and tone-deaf nature of Democrats and their “not in my yard” mentality.
Six thousand migrant families are a drop in the bucket compared to what our border states are dealing with. Let’s crunch the numbers…
More than 1,300 migrants cross the border into Arizona every single day. In Texas, the influx is so debilitating that they have bused 35,000 migrants to sanctuary cities like New York—and rightfully so.
The response? Crocodile tears from New York Mayor Eric Adams as he called Texas Governor Greg Abbott a “madman.”
If I were Gov. Abbott, I’d wear that nickname with a badge of honor. Of course he’s mad. Mad as hell that his state is in complete disarray because of harmful progressive policies. The leftist free-for-all circus is deteriorating the fabric of every border town community.
But where is our commander-in-chief as this all comes crashing down? He’s quietly selling off border wall materials, wasting taxpayer money, and doubling down on his party’s destructive open-border policies.
The good news is we’re doing something about it.
I’m teaming up with my colleagues on the House Oversight Committee to request every last detail on this disgusting waste and abuse. Here we are amid the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, and instead of securing our southern border with parts that already exist, he’s trying to thwart any future attempt to build—and we won’t stand for it.
We will hold these dadgum double-standard Democrats accountable, even if it’s the last thing we do.
