It’s been a long and challenging three years since Donald Trump was sworn in as President, but I’ve had the opportunity to work side by side with my friend and mentor House Speaker Nancy Pelosi along the way. And let me tell you: it’s been an honor.
The first year of Trump’s presidency was extraordinarily challenging, with Republicans in both chambers of Congress letting him get away with abuse of power and corruption, along with his dangerous policy agenda, all the while relentlessly attacking Americans’ health care.
But with your activism, we stopped every Republican attempt to roll back the Affordable Care Act, and with an outpouring of grassroots support, we took back control of the House during 2018’s Blue Wave, which enabled us to put a check on Trump ever since.
We’ve witnessed this president continue to spread lies, cover up his abuses, and threaten and insult anyone who dares speak up -- and I know he’d get away with all of it if not for Nancy’s amazing leadership and our House Majority working diligently to uphold our democratic values.
If we’re going to keep our Democratic House Majority, flip the Senate, and finally remove Trump from the White House this November, we need people like you to stand by us once again and elect a record number of Democrats in 2020.
This is our last fundraising deadline before the California primary election this Tuesday, and we need to show Trump and his party that our Democratic House Majority isn’t going anywhere.
