A federal judge in Texas just declared DACA illegal, leaving DACA recipients—and millions more Dreamers—at risk of deportation.
We knew this decision was coming, but it doesn’t soften the blow. The estimated hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ Dreamers remain in danger of being forced to return to countries where they face violence, sexual assault, and criminal punishment.
The only solution is for Congress to pass permanent protections, including a path to citizenship, for all Dreamers, but they fail year after year. We must rise up together like never before to demand they finally act.
Call on President Biden and Congress to protect LGBTQ, and all Dreamers now.
Dreamers have spent most of their lives in the U.S., starting families, careers, and planning their futures. Tearing them away from their homes and communities will devastate the country and put LGBTQ Dreamers in harm’s way.
It’s up to us to call on President Biden and Congress to pass legislation that creates a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers once and for all.
