Mass shootings have been a troubling part of the news for quite a few years now and it seems like the pace is picking up with 3 in just the past couple of weeks.

Everyone is talking about the shooters. Dead or alive, they're getting the 15 minutes of fame. Many of these shooters had issues socially, but now, everybody knows their name. Perhaps that's why they do it, but I am not really interested in them. I don't want to provide them with more notoriety and fame.

There's a better conversation we can be having: one about the people who put their lives on the line to save others during these tragedies.

Let's talk about the heroes.
