Hi,
Plastic and the pollution it causes is a global problem
that impacts human and planetary health, demanding a global
solution. It is an issue transcending national borders,
affecting every community and every citizen on Earth. Plastic is found
on the highest mountains and in the deepest oceans, and even inside
our own bodies. It's up to our elected officials to take action to
limit the proliferation of plastic that is poisoning the land, water,
and air we depend on.
EARTHDAY.ORG invites you to join another installment of our Earth
Day Live series, The Politics of Plastic, Monday, September 18
at 2:30 PM Eastern. You'll hear from elected leaders working
diligently to advance policies and other efforts to protect vulnerable
communities from the environmental and public health impacts of
plastic.
Join us for the live event.
The event will be approximately 45 minutes and hosted on Twitter,
Facebook,
YouTube,
LinkedIn,
and on our webpage.
By RSVP'ing, you'll receive a reminder on the day with a link to view
the event.
Our panelists include:
-
State Representative Sophie Phillips — Delaware
General Assembly, 18th District
