[ [link removed] ]Welch for Vermont

Hi Friend,

What do Republican Senators Thom Tillis, Roger Marshall, and Lisa
Murkowski have in common? I’ve introduced legislation with all of them.

It’s no secret that our country is more divided than ever right now, and
that’s reflected in the growing challenge to find compromise in Congress.

But I still believe that we can come together and find solutions to the
issues that everyday folks struggle with throughout the country.

One area that I’ve found great bipartisan support in is broadband access.
When I talk to my Republican colleagues, many of their rural constituents
struggle with lack of high-speed internet just like many of my
constituents in Vermont do. Senators like Roger Marshall from Kansas, who
I [ [link removed] ]introduced legislation with to get broadband in more homes around the
country.

Whether it be expanding access to broadband with Senator Marshall,
improving rural energy efficiency with Senator Murkowski, or protecting
veterans with Senator Tillis, there is still plenty of common ground
between the parties to make a difference.

To be clear, there are areas where I won’t compromise. The right to vote,
the right to reproductive freedom, and the right to be who you are aren’t
up for negotiation.

But there are so many areas where we can find common ground to improve the
lives of folks across America. I’ll keep working to make progress for
you.

Thanks,

Peter
