NIJ Article Discusses Findings of Teen Dating Violence Survey

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) has published a new article on its website discussing the findings of a longitudinal study funded by NIJ examining teen dating violence.

The article describes the results of the National Survey on Teen Relationships and Intimate Violence (STRiV), the first comprehensive national household survey focused on teen dating violence consisting of six waves of data collection conducted with a single sample of parents/caregivers and youth over seven years. Findings from the research reveal the prevalence, characteristics, contexts, and development of teen dating abuse perpetration and victimization. The article describes how the findings inform potential intervention and prevention strategies to reduce teen dating violence and sexual harassment.
