In 2018, you helped elect a record number of women to Congress, and you flipped the House along the way. Two of those exceptional “majority-maker” candidates were Lucy McBath and Lauren Underwood . Now, the Republican party is out with an outrageous and offensive attack on them both, and they could use your support.

First, some background. Lucy, whose son Jordan was tragically killed by gun violence in 2012, is a steadfast advocate of gun reform and Representative of Georgia’s 6th district. Lauren is a registered nurse and Representative of Illinois’ 14th district who’s passionate about making high-quality healthcare affordable for every American.

Both of these Congresswomen have been leaders in the House on issues like defending voting rights, lifting up working families, and reducing gun violence -- and the GOP has taken notice.

This week, the National Republican Congressional Committee sent “For Sale” signs to Lucy and Lauren to amplify their attacks on them. I’m sure I don’t have to explain how disturbing and wrong it is for Republicans to suggest these Congresswomen are “for sale” or can be bought simply because they are defending their constituents against gun violence and championing accessible healthcare. And more than that, they couldn’t be more wrong -- Lucy and Lauren are tough as they come and they’re laser-focused on doing the right thing for their constituents and the country.

Lucy and Lauren are both up for reelection in key frontline districts this November, and if we’re going to keep them fighting for the American people in Congress, they need our support as they face these Republican attacks.
