Friend,
In case you missed my note yesterday, I wanted to
send around another message informing my supporters of a ballot design
flaw that could impact our race on Tuesday.
In half of my
congressional district, my name won’t be appearing on the first “page”
of the ballot on the new electronic voting machines, and voters will
have no clear indication that they can view additional candidate names
on another screen. This could result in thousands of voters
unknowingly skipping candidates like myself -- so
I need your help to ensure that our voters know exactly where to find
my name on the ballot.
Because this is only coming
to light now, just days before the primary, there’s no time to waste:
Will
you rush in a donation of $500, $250, or $100 today to help us spread
the word?
Best, Ted

County sued over 'Severe Ballot Design Flaw' >> Need to get the
word out ASAP!
Friend,
BREAKING NEWS
out of Los Angeles County: With less than ten days to go until Primary
Day on Tuesday, March 3rd, we’ve just been informed that in half of my
congressional district my name won’t be appearing on the first “page”
of the ballot on the new electronic voting
machines.
Confusingly, voters will be presented with the option
of hitting either “NEXT” or “MORE” on the touch screen, with no
indication of which button brings you to the next “page” of candidate
names or the next section of the ballot. As a result, thousands of
voters may unknowingly end up skipping candidates, including
me.
We did not see this coming. And in order to get the word
out ahead of Primary Day on Tuesday, I’ll need to raise enough money
to reach all of our California supporters ASAP: Will
you rush in a contribution today so we can make sure voters know how
to find my name on the ballot?
Best, Ted
P.S. If you or someone you know is a
registered voter in Los Angeles County, be sure to click “MORE” at the
bottom of your touch screen to see additional pages of candidate names
when voting on Tuesday -- and please, help me spread the
word!
