Dear Neighbor
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
Every year from September 15th to October 15th, our nation honors Hispanic Heritage Month. And as the daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico, this is a special time of the year for me.
This month is a time for celebration and reflection on the many contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans have made for our country’s history and culture. Hispanics and Latino Americans have played a major role in driving U.S. population growth and our stories have helped shape this country. For those reasons, we must remember Latino history is American history.
We are entrepreneurs, local leaders, professional athletes, community activists, members of Congress, and so much more.
That is why I am proud to be a Latina every single day of my life. And I am proud of the heritage, the history, and the traditions that we bring to this country.
I look forward to celebrating this month together and I’ll keep fighting for a better, more inclusive future for Latinos and for all Americans.
And as always, if you require assistance with a federal agency or have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact my office at (562) 860-5050.
Sincerely,
Linda T. Sánchez
Member of Congress
