MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE PEOPLE OF ALGONA
Heartbreaking news to hear that an Algona police officer was shot and killed Wednesday night.
Please join me in praying for the family and friends of the officer during this difficult time.
Our police and law enforcement put their lives in danger every day to protect us all. This is a tragic and sobering reminder of their oath and bravery.

WORKING WITH SENATOR GRASSLEY TO PROTECT OUR FARM FAMILIES
I'm proud to work with Senator Grassley to analyze the impacts of consolidation in the agriculture industry on Iowa farmers and producers.
We will continue our work to ensure that our producers get a fair price for their high-quality product.

WELCOMING THE SIOUX CENTER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO WASHINGTON, D.C.
It’s always a pleasure to have the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce in my office.
We chatted about several priorities — from healthcare and banking to agriculture and workforce needs — important to our families, farmers, small businesses, and rural communities in Iowa.

TALKING THE FARM BILL WITH THE IOWA FARM BUREAU
The Iowa Farm Bureau is a fierce advocate for Iowa agriculture and our hardworking farmers.
We had a productive conversation about the Farm Bill, Iowa biofuels, and my Crop Insurance for Future Farmers Act — which will lower costs for our young producers and help them succeed.

MY FEENSTRA AGRICULTURE TOUR
To date, I have made nearly 30 different stops on my Feenstra Agriculture Tour meeting with agriculture students at Morningside University’s new state-of-the-art greenhouse, crop insurance agents in Sibley, the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee in Sioux City, pork producers in Nevada, cattlemen in Moorhead, turkey farmers in Manson, equipment manufacturers in Harlan, and FFA students at Akron-Westfield High School.
I have also held town halls with producers in Sanborn, Alexander, Ida Grove, Humboldt, Audubon, and Britt to hear their thoughts about the Farm Bill and provide an update about the legislation that I am working on for Iowa agriculture.

MEETING WITH BIOFUELS ADVOCATES
I’m honored to receive the Fueling Growth Award from Growth Energy for my work to expand biofuels production and support homegrown American energy.
Iowa biofuels keep prices at the pump low for our families, support American energy independence, and end our reliance on foreign oil.

FIGHTING TO STOP WOTUS MANDATES ON OUR FARMERS
I firmly believe we need to throw WOTUS in the trash where it belongs and incorporate the opinions of real farmers and businesses — not unelected bureaucrats — to write a rule that protects our waters and respects private land rights.
Read my full op-ed below!

Feenstra: WOTUS, rest of Biden's mandates belong in trash
In May, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously struck down President Joe Biden's Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. With no congressional, stakeholder or farmer input, the Environmental Protection Agency

THE CONSEQUENCES OF "BIDENOMICS" CONTINUE
Another month, another consequence of Bidenomics.
From the gas pump to the grocery store, American families are struggling from President Biden's wasteful spending policies.
House Republicans are working to lower costs and grow our economy.

MEETING WITH THE IOWA PORK PRODUCERS
I enjoyed having the Iowa Pork Producers — including Dwight Mogler who serves on my Agriculture Advisory Board — in my office today to discuss the upcoming Farm Bill and California’s ridiculous Prop 12 mandate on Iowa hog farmers.
I’m proud to represent the top pork-producing district in the nation!

ONE LAST THING: TODAY IS POW/MIA RECOGNITION DAY
Today, we honor and recognize the brave men and women who have fought to defend our freedoms and protect our nation, but never returned home.
Their sacrifice and service to our country can never be fully repaid. God bless our troops and their families.

MY WEEKLY COLUMN: COMBATING PRESIDENT BIDEN'S ELECTRIC VEHICLE MANDATES
Since the beginning of his administration, President Biden has weaponized the heavy hand of government to tilt the scale in favor of policies that he supports – absent any congressional action or approval whatsoever. From his burdensome WOTUS rule on our farmers to his ridiculous plan to hike mortgage payments on responsible taxpayers to subsidize home loans for folks with low credit scores, the President has demonstrated that he will take any action necessary to advance his liberal agenda.
There is no clearer example of his executive overreach than his hasty and costly push to electrify every car and truck in the United States. That’s why I voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act.
