Happy Hispanic Heritage Month, John!
Each year, from September 15 through October 15 , the nation celebrates the history and culture of Americans of Spanish, Mexican, Caribbean, and Central and South American descent. It’s also a time to celebrate the independence days of several Latin American countries including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Chile.
Communities throughout Connecticut will observe this special month with festivals, art shows, educational opportunities, and other celebrations. As the new Chair of the Connecticut Hispanic Democratic Caucus, I’d like to encourage you to learn what events are happening near you, attend one with your friends and family, and connect with your Latino neighbors.
