Monday, Rep. María Elvira Salazar (FL-27) had the opportunity to meet a
7-year-old girl she helped get from Cuba to the United States for critical
cancer treatment. Salazar personally intervened to request humanitarian parole,
and after receiving treatment, her family shared that her cancer is gone.

Tuesday, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) joined a bipartisan group of
colleagues in introducing legislation to bolster America's manufacturers. The
bill "would direct the Secretary of Commerce to conduct a study on the
feasibility of manufacturing more goods in the United States, in particular,
products that are key to our critical infrastructure sectors."

Wednesday, Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) introduced bipartisan legislation
to address the homelessness crisis that is impacting cities across the county.
Chavez-DeRemer highlights a gap in healthcare for patients, and the bill would
allow for care that targets substance abuse and mental health disorders that
prevent homeless individuals from taking the first steps to get off the streets
and into safe and stable housing.

Thursday, Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-02) highlighted how New York City is cutting
funding for police officers in response to the city's unprecedented migrant
crisis. It is just the latest side effect of the Biden administration's failure
to address the influx of migrants into our country.
