Hi John,
I'm Cordelia Lewis-Burks, Chair of Mayor Joe Hogsett's campaign.
I've worked to serve the people of Indianapolis for over two decades – first as a volunteer, then as a member in the labor movement, and, finally, as a leader in the Democratic Party.
I've held many different job titles but the one that's more important to me is that of advocate. I've proudly advocated for women, for minorities, and for working families who are just trying to get ahead and take care of their loved ones.
Let me be straight with you: the choice Indianapolis has this November is stark. On one side we've got a billionaire businessman, who's too preoccupied figuring out which way the political winds are blowing to truly lead our city.
On the other hand, we've got Mayor Joe Hogsett, a servant leader of the people who has led our city through some really trying times during these past eight years. From dealing with a global pandemic and economic upheaval, to the attacks on our fundamental rights, Mayor Joe has been there fighting for all of us.
From improving public safety and investing in our infrastructure, to ensuring Indianapolis is a place where all of us can prosper, we know there's work left to be done. Mayor Joe is the guy to help keep our city moving forward.
He knows that our city is at its best when it works for working folks, he sees our diversity as our greatest strength and believes that our best days are still ahead of us.
That's why I encourage you to join me in voting for Mayor Joe Hogsett this November, and supporting his re-election campaign today! [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Cordelia Lewis-Burks
Campaign Chair
