Dear John,
To mark National Disability Voting Rights Week, VoteRiders has newly redesigned and updated our voter ID resources for folks with disabilities.

Voter ID laws silence millions, but they hit some communities harder than others. Voters with disabilities are especially affected by voter ID laws because of the challenges they face in getting identification. Many don’t drive so they don’t have driver’s licenses, and they also don’t have their own transportation, making it difficult to get to the DMV for a state ID card. Traveling to the DMV and paying for an ID can also be costly, creating another barrier to access.
Check out our resource center for voters with disabilities and share widely with your friend and family! >> [link removed] And if you or anyone you know needs help getting an ID — including needing accessible transportation to and from a DMV or ID-issuing office — please let VoteRiders know. Our team of staff and volunteers is ready to help voters with disabilities get the ID they need to cast a ballot that counts. >> [link removed]
There are an estimated 38 million Americans with disabilities who are eligible to vote. Nationally, people with disabilities voted at a 3.6% lower rate than nondisabled voters in the 2022 midterms.
VoteRiders is working to ensure that no voters with disabilities are ever turned away because they lack the proper ID, or stay home because they don’t know what ID they need to vote. This National Disability Voting Rights Week, help us spread the word. >> [link removed]
