The Humane Cosmetics Act was reintroduced in the U.S. House of Representatives this week and we hope the Senate will soon follow suit. But to make sure that happens, we need you to contact your members of Congress TODAY and urge them to support this important legislation.
The Humane Cosmetics Act would, with certain exceptions, end all animal testing for cosmetic products and ingredients in the United States and prohibit the import of cosmetics that have been tested on animals anywhere else in the world. Cosmetics animal testing is unnecessary and cruel, especially since alternatives already exist and these advanced scientific technologies are often cheaper, faster, and more relevant to humans making them more reliable predictors of safety than archaic animal tests.
The Humane Cosmetics Act has strong bipartisan support as well as the backing of hundreds of cosmetics companies. It’s time to put the United States on par with the 44 other countries—including Canada and Mexico—that have already ended cosmetics animal testing!
I need you to take just a moment—right now—to take action and tell your members of Congress to support the Humane Cosmetics Act.
