Good morning and happy (early) Constitution Day!

Our Constitution Day Live! programming will preimere on YouTube starting at 11AM ET. This year's theme is "Reflection, Choice, and Self-Government". We hope you will celebrate with us!

During the live show, our hosts will seek to answer these questions:

What is the role of deliberation and careful consideration in our society? Why is it important?
How do we evaluate and debate ideas collectively?
How do we make choices? What influences us?
Who do we allow to make choices on our behalf?
How do we empower these individuals to make those choices?
What is the purpose of balancing reason and passion? Why were the founders concerned about this balance?

Special guests interviews will include:

American Exceptionalism in the Civil War Era with BRI’s Tony Williams and Andrew Lang, professor of history at Mississippi State University
The Importance of Polling in a Democracy with pollster John Zogby and BRI Student Fellow Lucca Ruggieri
An Example of Reflection & Choice with Medal of Honor Recipient Flo Groberg
Civil Discourse: A Book Discussion with authors Nichelle Pinkney and Joe Schmidt

The live show will also highlight some of our newest resources, share stories of student impact, and will feature the announcement of our first ever National Civics Teacher of the Year!
