We are excited to introduce you to "VULTURE: The Story of the Bearded Vulture," a captivating documentary by the well-known wildlife filmmaker and TV presenter Lizzie Daly.

We have long demonised the vultures of the world. That they are scavengers, predators, flying monsters. While they are often seen circling dying animals, they don't deserve this bad reputation. Vultures are critical to their ecosystem and environment, providing important ecosystem services. - Lizzie Daly, Leica ambassador, PhD Wildlife Biologist, Filmmaker & Broadcaster.

This film takes you behind the scenes to reveal how we hatch, raise, and care for Bearded Vultures in captivity to support their return to Europe and reintroduce them to regions where they disappeared.

Additionally, this film challenges the misconceptions that have plagued vultures for so long, contributing to their widespread persecution.

'Little did I know that this story would be so much bigger than I could have ever imagined. It would take me on a journey of changing perceptions, dedication, hardship and perseverance.'

During the breeding season, Lizzie Daly personally witnessed our efforts during her visits to two of our captive breeding centres. These centres play a pivotal role in restoring wild Bearded Vulture populations across Europe.

Throughout her visits, she met our dedicated staff, such as Pakillo Rodriguez, the coordinator of the Guadalentín captive-breeding centre, and Àlex Llópis Dell, the coordinator of the Vallcalent captive-breeding centre and the Bearded Vulture Captive Breeding Network (Bearded Vulture EEP). These individuals have devoted their lives to Bearded Vulture conservation.
