Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities Taking on Criminal Justice as New Priority Area

The Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) will meet September 29, 2023 to sharpen their knowledge of Texas' Criminal Justice System with presentations by the Office of Court Administration, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and other agencies with special insights into this new area for the committee.

Although this is a public meeting, there will not be an opportunity for Public Comment. The meeting is intended to provide comprehensive training to GCPD on Texas' Criminal Justice System.

The location of the meeting is in the following paragraphs. Information also follows regarding required registration to participate virtually and for obtaining meeting materials.

A public meeting of the Texas Governor?s Committee on People with Disabilities will be conducted under Texas Government Code Section 551.127, related to meetings involving members joining by videoconference call. It is the intent of the Committee to have the chairperson present at 1100 San Jacinto Blvd., Austin, Texas. This location will be open to the public during the open portions of the meeting. Other members of the Committee will join by videoconference from separate locations.

Members of the public will also have access to a live audiovisual stream of the meeting in addition to the option to be physically present at the location.
