Help us send care packages to LGBTQ youth accross the South.

John –

This week, our amazing volunteers and staff put together 600 care packages that we’ll be sending to LGBTQ youth all across the South. Folks gathered at our Asheville office to fill backpacks full of gifts and supplies–all with the goal of letting LGBTQ young people know they are supported and loved. With more than 30 anti-LGBTQ state education laws currently in place, and almost every Southern state banning gender-affirming care for youth, this message of love and support is more important than ever.

Last year, we distributed 300 care packages; this year, we’re spreading the love to even more youth by sending 600 care packages, including to youth whose families have been supported through our Southern Trans Youth Emergency Project.

And we need your help to make this happen! For just $25, you can sponsor a care package for an LGBTQ youth in the South. Donate here. ([link removed])

The care packages contain a variety of goodies–from chapstick donated by Dr. Bronners to a playlist created by musician Ethel Cain with The Ally Coalition. We are especially excited about the printed books titled “You Are Powerful, You Are Loved” that include messages of love, support, and solidarity that so many of you sent in from around the country and world, which will be in every care package. When LGBTQ youth need a pick-me-up, we hope they can open up this book and be reminded that a vast, strong, and diverse community is with them every step of the way.

You can help us make sure LGBTQ youth in the South know that we are standing with them during this challenging time. Make a donation of $100, $50, or $25 to sponsor a care package (or two! or four!) for an LGBTQ young person. ([link removed])
