Governor Lamont Directs Flags To Return to Full-Staff Saturday Evening [[link removed]]

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to return to full-staff at sunset on the evening of Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Flags have been lowered to half-staff statewide [[link removed]] since last week in remembrance of Hartford Police Detective Robert “Bobby” Garten, who died in the line of duty. A celebration of life service in his honor is scheduled to be held on Saturday morning at the XL Center in Hartford, followed by an interment ceremony with police honors in Wethersfield.
