Dear John,
It’s simple: if Congress can’t fix its broken budget process and pass all 12 bills that fund the government and provide vital services to our veterans and seniors on time, members should not get paid.
Washington is lacking the common sense values we have in Montana and that includes living within your means and paying your bills on time. That is why Montana families should never have to pay the price for Congress’ irresponsibility.
I am joining my colleagues in cosponsoring the "No Budget, No Pay Act" to prevent my fellow members of Congress from getting paid if they do not pass a budget and fund the government on time.
