At the end of August, the Washington Blade published an article about our opponent, laying out what we already know to be true: he is blatantly, unapologetically anti-trans.

Our opponent is a vocal supporter of HB2432, which would make school personnel legally obligated to out trans kids to their parents, whether or not that is a safe choice for those kids. He has also used campaign literature to tout his platform of “protecting high school girls’ sports,” a misleading dog whistle that means he will work to stop trans girls from competing alongside their teammates. He has even gone so far as calling anything that goes against his regressive, hateful stance as “a war on families.”
On the other hand, Danica has spent her time in the House of Delegates doing the critical work of actually protecting kids by making sure food- insecure students don’t go hungry and can get to and from school on safe roads.
We absolutely cannot let our opponent bring his hateful, divisive rhetoric to the state Senate in November. We know that the GOP is ramping up their fundraising efforts. We have to give it all we’ve got now and we need your help to do it.
