As Tammy’s Finance Director, it’s my job to keep a close eye on our fundraising numbers and make sure we’re on track to hit all of our benchmarks.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but with tomorrow’s mid-month deadline coming up quickly, our fundraising is a bit behind where it needs to be to set Tammy up for success in this toss-up reelection race.

A few months ago, I wrote warning of a “summer slump” — a period during the summer when grassroots fundraising tends to dip while people are outside enjoying the nice weather and taking a well-deserved break from news and politics.

Here’s the trouble: Even though summer’s just about over, our grassroots donations are still in a slowdown.

There’s simply too much at stake to fall behind with a public fundraising deadline approaching and right-wing candidates considering jumping into this race. That’s why I’m reaching out to personally ask for your support today.
