Dear Supporters,

I hope this email finds you well and filled with the same passion for change that I shared during my recent guest appearance on The State of Freedom podcast. I wanted to highlight some crucial insights and disclosures from that discussion with you all, as well as discuss the pressing issues we face in Louisiana's election system.

During my time on The State of Freedom podcast, I highlighted the alarming deficiencies in our state's election system, which have gone unnoticed for far too long.

It is unacceptable that we received an 'F' grade in various critical aspects of our election process, such as voter roll accuracy, proof of citizenship, and the implementation of voter ID cards. These issues are not just concerning; they are downright alarming.

One of the most shocking revelations is that Louisiana is the only state in the entire country that lacks the ability to audit our elections. Let that sink in for a moment – when election results are disputed, we have no way to verify the vote count. This is an immense vulnerability in our democracy. Imagine a scenario where an election's legitimacy is questioned, and we have no means to conduct a comprehensive audit. It's a critical flaw that leaves our elections open to manipulation and undermines the trust we should have in our democratic process.

It's also essential to note that we have an astonishing 700,000 inactive and ineligible voters on our rolls, including individuals who are 143 years old. This is an issue that urgently needs addressing. Our election system is in dire need of reform.

When we discuss these problems with fellow Louisianans, they understand the gravity of the situation and the need for change. Our patriots and citizens deserve a system they can trust. However, when we bring these concerns to elected officials, they often dismiss them, either out of incompetence or willful ignorance.

The resistance to implementing necessary reforms is multifaceted. Some officials may have been in their positions for decades and have become complacent with the status quo. Others may be influenced by misguided ideologies or simply unaware of the facts.

But our fight is not with the clerks or the registrars who carry out these policies. Our fight is with the outdated, flawed policies themselves. The law is clear in Title 18 of the Louisiana Constitution – the Secretary of State and the registrar of voters shall keep our voter rolls clean. There's no room for interpretation. It's time for us to ensure that these laws are followed.

So, what can we do to fix these problems and secure our elections? It's not as complicated as it might seem and immediate action needs to be taken.

  1. Replace our vulnerable voting machines, both old and new, with secure hand-marked paper ballots. The recent Halderman report exposed the susceptibility of our current machines to hacking, and we can't afford to overlook this threat.
  2. Address the issues with our voter rolls and ensure their accuracy. We must clean up the rolls to prevent fraud and ensure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot.
  3. Advocate for election auditing capabilities to restore trust in our democratic process. We should not be the only state in the nation without this vital safeguard.

The Crucial Role of Hand Paper Ballots in Ensuring Election Integrity

I want to go into a little more detail about a critical aspect of my election integrity platform: the importance of hand-paper ballots.

Hand-paper ballots serve as the bedrock of our democratic process, and I firmly believe that we must prioritize their use in Louisiana's elections.

Here's why:

Verifiability: Hand-paper ballots provide voters with a tangible, verifiable record of their choices. When you mark your preferences on paper, you have the opportunity to review your selections, ensuring that your voice is accurately represented before you cast your vote. This transparency builds trust in our electoral system.

Security: Our elections are under constant threat from cyberattacks and hacking attempts. Paper ballots are inherently secure, impervious to digital vulnerabilities that electronic voting systems may face. By choosing paper ballots, we fortify the defense of our democracy against cyber threats.

Auditing and Recounts: In times of contested elections or the need for recounts, paper ballots offer a reliable and unambiguous record that can be manually recounted. This manual recount process ensures the accuracy of election results and allows for independent verification.

Accessibility: Paper ballots are inclusive and accessible to all voters, regardless of their familiarity with electronic voting machines or any disabilities they may have. They provide a straightforward and equitable method for all Louisianans to participate in our democratic process.

Independence from Technology: Paper ballots don't rely on complex electronic systems or software, reducing the risk of technical failures or manipulation. By embracing paper ballots, we protect our elections from technology-related issues.

Public Trust: Ultimately, the use of hand-paper ballots fosters trust among the citizens of Louisiana. When voters believe that their voices are accurately recorded and counted, they are more likely to participate in elections and accept the outcomes. This trust strengthens the very foundation of our democracy.

I am committed to advocating for hand-paper ballots in Louisiana's electoral process because they are essential to preserving the integrity, transparency, and security of our elections. Together, we can ensure that our democracy remains strong and that every citizen's voice is heard.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my stance on election integrity or any other aspects of my campaign, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your time and consideration.
