John, Congress has been back in session for just one week – and the GOP is wasting no time putting politics over people:
First: Jim Jordan, Trump’s controversial MAGA ally, opened a House inquiry into Fani Willis, the District Attorney who handed Trump his latest indictment for interfering in Georgia's 2020 election.
Then: Extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene threatened to shut the government down…unless the House voted to open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
And now (like clockwork): Kevin McCarthy is bowing down to the MAGA caucus by launching a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
President Biden has been a staunch defender of voting rights in the face of Donald Trump’s unprecedented attacks on our democracy. We must show him he has our support.
