Jack, there is a MAJOR election in New Hampshire next week. Here are the four things you need to know if you're just tuning in to this race:

1. The state House majority is on the line. Republicans won a razor-thin majority in 2022. Their majority is so small that Democrats have managed to defeat horrid GOP bills and even pass some good legislation of their own when they've had superior numbers on the floor. Winning this seat plus one other special election in a safely blue seat will eliminate the GOP majority entirely, splitting the House evenly between the parties.
   
   
2. The Republican candidate is an extremist pastor who has given sermons about witchcraft and "blood sacrifices to Molech." No, sadly, this is not a joke.
   
   
3. Daily Kos has endorsed Democrat Hal Rafter. This was a no-brainer for us. Rafter is a computer programmer who lost his bid for the same district last year by just 25 votes. Republicans have noticed the support that Daily Kos readers and activists have been providing Rafter and even made a website attacking Rafter for our support!
   
   
4. A donation to Rafter delivers huge bang for your buck. New Hampshire state House districts are tiny, which means far fewer votes are needed to win here than in legislative races in other states. As a result, every dollar you donate here will go much further than it would for other campaigns.
   

That's why I'm asking you to donate $5 to Daily Kos-endorsed Democrat Hal Rafter right now so we can defeat one of the most unhinged candidates Republicans have ever put on the ballot—and that is really saying something.
