Shelley’s heart raced. A positive pregnancy test sent her mind spiraling into a cycle of desperation. She was already struggling with how to tell her family she was divorced. How was she going to explain an unplanned pregnancy too?

Coming from a family with strong cultural values, she feared being disowned. Finding it hard to think, Shelley felt crushed beneath the weight of her circumstances—she was going to be a single parent to not one, but two children.
