Social media has a huge impact -- find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

Dear Friend,

Thank you for joining Courage Campaign’s team! E-mail is just one tool in our advocacy strategy. Another powerful tool is social media.

We’ve seen what social media can do for progressive activists like ourselves -- from live updates during health care protests at the Capitol to unveiling the realities of police brutality.

And it can do much more. Social media can allow us to build power together -- we can use it to pass progressive bills by tweeting out petitions, posting Congressional phone numbers to ask our friends to call, sending Facebook event invites for town halls, holding our legislators publicly accountable, and so on. We can even use it to resist Trump nationally by sending emails, sharing graphics, and phone banking from home to turn out voters and help #WinBackTheHouse.

That’s why we’d love for you to follow our social media accounts so we can keep you updated on our campaigns, as well as our partners’ work.

Social media has brought communities together both globally and nationally. The world tuned in during the Arab Spring to hear from people on the ground risking their lives when their government was abusing them. #BlackLivesMatter was born from the conversations happening online. The Women’s March started a national voter registration tour orchestrated through their social media accounts. Parkland students started organizing for sensible laws to prevent gun massacres through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

One thing is clear: the relationship between the internet and organizing has changed over the past few decades. We know, now more than ever, that social media has a huge impact on our nation’s political landscape. Together we can use these platforms to make our nation a better place for us all.
