Once in my early thirties, during a lull in my career and at a moment of creative inspiration, I attempted to pen a piece of fiction, largely for my own entertainment and definitely not to write the Great American Novel.
The story I produced was serviceable, somewhat zany and off the wall, but not too far-fetched.
