"Congress Is on the Verge of Plunging Millions Into Food Insecurity"
"The WIC program, which provides vital resources to the neediest families, usually gets the funding it needs without a struggle. Not this time."
– The New Republic
John,
Throughout his time in the Pennsylvania House and Congress, Dwight has consistently fought to ensure all families have access to healthy, affordable food sources. That fight continues today in Congress as some Republicans threaten to cut funding for nutritional assistance — namely the Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC).
According to the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities, the Republicans' proposed budget cuts could potentially "cut benefits for around 1.5 million pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding participants, as well as roughly 3.5 million children ages 1 to 4 years old."
We need your help today, John. As we approach our mid-month fundraising deadline, Block by Block is working to elect leaders who will protect American families in need. Chip in $5 right now to help Dwight fight to protect families and fund these essential programs >>>

Hardline conservatives in the House are putting the lives of millions of Americans at risk. Instead of working to keep the government running and protect critical programs like the WIC, they are playing political games to rile up their base.
In Philadelphia – and nationwide – families are still struggling to provide for their families. Nutritional assistance programs like the WIC provide families with the resources to care for their children and stay healthy. This is bigger than politics. It is life and death.
Chip in to the Block by Block PAC before our mid-month fundraising deadline and help Dwight keep fighting to support American families >>>
