This week, I announced groundbreaking legislation to improve the transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of nonprofits contracted by the city of San Francisco. 

This bill will safeguard taxpayer money and make city services more efficient and effective.

Until now, the City’s lack of uniform guidelines for non-profit contracts has allowed for waste, redundancy, and abuse across city government. 

By establishing clear rules, we are building a more transparent system and ensuring that vulnerable communities get the care they need. In Sacramento, I will continue to lead the charge in fighting for our communities to make sure that the government works for all of us.
