We wanted to take a second on this #ThrowBackThursday to reflect on the strategic genius that, in part, forced Kevin McCarthy to pursue a baseless presidential impeachment inquiry without a vote by the full House:

That was almost exactly two years ago that Boebert crowed about the need to “imeach” President Joe Biden—and only about 8 months after Biden had even assumed office. 

It is pointless to complain about how idiotic, unfounded, and unsubstantiated the House Republicans’ impeachment pursuit is; even Senate Republicans find it wholly lacking evidence and don’t support it. 

The rabid MAGA majority of the GOP has been calling for this since Biden won in 2020—and Boebert was advocating for impeachment way before there was any basis, however flimsy, for it. All of which just goes to show how ridiculous this political gambit actually is.

All we have left to do is electorally punish Republicans like Boebert who are in competitive races. So that’s what we’re going to do.

McCarthy’s lack of a spine has led to a result that is almost as dumb as Boebert and her staff, who can’t even perform a simple spellcheck before releasing a silly graphic on social media.
