Dear
Friend,
I am announcing my candidacy for California's 2nd
Congressional District.
This district — our home — stretches from the iconic Golden Gate
Bridge to the Oregon Border. From the Headlands of Marin to the
Redwoods of Klamath, since our state’s founding in 1850, ours has been
a region with tight-knit communities, blooming civic life, and a
vibrant economy.
A Congressional Representative holds immense power to shape our
region's future. He can invigorate our community or leave it
vulnerable. He can inspire us with a vision for the future or mire us
in false narratives that defines much of our national politics.
For 12 years, we have been
under the influence of an out-of-touch career politician who has
failed to protect our farmers, businesses, environment, and the
well-being of our children. Look around: our cities have suffered,
laws go unenforced, and our friends, neighbors, and local businesses
are leaving.
What has improved on Jared Huffman’s watch? Has he made himself
present in our communities? Do most North Coast residents even know
who he is? He certainly does not know who we are. In many ways it
feels like our country and our district are at a crossroads. It is not
a choice between Republican or Democrat, but for improvement or
continued decline.
We deserve a leader in
Congress who will prioritize the critical issues that affect us all:
preserving Lake Pillsbury, supporting our businesses and farmers,
getting serious about protecting our children, public safety, and
more.
In 2022 when I first ran for political office, you honored me with
your support by raising more money than all previous Republican
challengers in the last 8 years combined. We did that in just 90 days
of campaigning. This time around, we have 8 months, and I am running a
different type of campaign.
I am doubling my personal contribution to this campaign, and I
pledge to double my efforts. I urge you to consider doubling your
contributions, engage with 2 neighbors about this race, and encourage
2 more people to support us. Every contribution makes a difference.
Every engagement is a chance to make things
better:
