The mission of an organization has always been an important factor for me when considering career opportunities. I?ve held roles in a variety of industries including financial services, direct patient care, higher education and a Fortune 500. But the most meaningful experiences for me have always been knowing I was a part of an organization that really made a difference in people?s lives.

No where has been more fulfilling than working for the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs. While my role here, as it has been in others as well, is not directly serving the end customer, I find value in knowing my work supports our mission of ensuring Minnesota Veterans and their families receive the services and benefits they have earned.

Veterans hold a special place in my heart. My parents were both World War II Veterans and my 99-year-old dad is still among us and attends the Vets Club/MDVA Adult Day Program located on the Minneapolis Veterans Home campus. I also have other family members who are Veterans and spent time as an active-duty military spouse stationed overseas. So I have seen firsthand the service and sacrifice of our Veterans.

I am not alone in my commitment to serving Veterans. I value that my colleagues also share that passion and together, we are honoring those who have defended our freedoms. I encourage you to explore career opportunities at MDVA.
