No single person in the criminal justice system has more power, more
influence, and makes more consequential decisions than the local district
attorney.

District Attorneys are the gatekeepers of the criminal justice system. Of
the millions of criminal cases in this nation, nearly 98% of them go
through the DA’s Office.

DA Kim Ogg — Houston's current DA — has intentionally pushed unaffordable
bail for minor offenses, and she requested $20 million for 102 new
prosecutors, which is more than the county’s total mental healthcare
budget in 2018.

We can’t allow prosecutors like Ogg to push unjust policies that put more
people in jail. Audia is a real reformer. She’s not just going to run a
reform-focused campaign — she’s going to back it up with action.

Real Justice organizers and volunteers will fight our hearts out to help
her win, but that’s not enough. We need you to make your best gift to her
