Friends and Comrades,
Bernie Sanders’ run for the Presidency is off to a great start. Bernie has done very well this Primary season. Going into Super Tuesday, March 3rd when Minnesota and thirteen other states vote, the challenge is now upon us to maintain Bernie’s momentum. Please be sure to vote and make sure your Bernie friends and family vote also. This year you will vote at your usual polling location, if you are unsure, go to this link.
If you are not registered to vote, Minnesota has same day voter registration, all you need is some documentation (ID or rent receipt or utility bill) that shows you live in the precinct or township you are voting in. Also, a family member, neighbor or roommate who is registered could vouch for you if you have no documentation.
Every vote for Bernie in the primary counts towards the number of Bernie Delegates that go to the national Convention. Bernie is worth the effort!
Several of Bernie’s Democratic opponents talk like they will do things to make America more equitable, but they are not as serious as Bernie about standing up to the oligarchy or as fearless in the face of the onslaught from the corporate media. MSNBC is not our friend.
Only Bernie has a movement that inspires all peoples of all ages to work together to break the stranglehold that the billionaires have on America.
Bernie’s unwavering demand of a reconfigured Medicare, Medicare for All, which will provide a truly all-encompassing low- cost health care plan for every American, is very popular. He will also fight for a Green New Deal to provide low-cost renewable energy and jobs, and more importantly, keep our planet habitable. Plus, a free college tuition program to keep the worker bees out of debt while they train to turn the world around. He also has a plan to increase affordable housing options across America.
The official Bernie Campaign is in the area and will be having a doorknock out of the Take Action Office (25 N21st Ave W) this weekend. We urge everyone who wants to help Get Out The Vote for Bernie to participate. For more info see this public event.
Other Official Campaign events may come up but don’t wait for us to tell you, use the sign-up form above and stay in the campaign loop.
Twin Ports DSA will also be doing doorknocks, but not on the scale that the official campaign is doing.
If you wish to donate to our local, independent campaign for Bernie Sanders, please go here.
